ifilm English to unveil ‘A Stranger to Oneself’

ifilm’s new feature film ‘A Stranger to Oneself’ has been scheduled to go on air on July 8, 2017.

The movie directed by Jamshid Bayat-Tork follows the multiple stories of several characters facing different threats.

A heart surgeon tells his dying patient that a heart transplant may save him. However, in the doctor’s opinion luck is the only determining factor when it comes to life and death.

A loan shark threatens to send a man to prison for his overdue debt unless he can marry the man’s young daughter. But the daughter is already engaged to her cousin. The only way to get in the way of such marriage is find a way to pay off the debt. That is what the cousin decides to do.

A woman along with her brother and husband decide to rob a jeweler’s shop as a solution to their problems. The money will enable her to receive medical treatment abroad.

Will the cousin and the robbers get hold of the money they need? Will a heart finally become available for the dying man and will the surgeon start to see life differently?

The movie cast list includes Pendar Akbari, Abdorreza Akbari, Mehdi Faqih, Mehdi Aminikhah and Nafiseh Roshan.

‘A Stranger to Oneself’, made in 2012, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT (03:30 Tehran time).

ifilm English will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).
